In the 1920s and 1930s, Tavannes was among the world’s largest watch manufacturers, renowned for the quality of its movements and its industrial production capacity, always combined with artisanal excellence.
Tavannes played an important role in the transition from pocket watches to wristwatches, producing compact, robust, and reliable calibers as early as the 1910s. Over time, it developed watches for:
In the 1930s and 1940s, Tavannes also manufactured watches for other brands (including Cyma, with which it shared part of its production facility).
A vintage Tavannes is a true gem for discerning and curious collectors: these watches are often underappreciated given their quality, featuring movements developed entirely in-house, elegant cases, and refined dials.
Sought-after models include:
They’re perfect for anyone looking for an original, elegant vintage watch that’s off the beaten path and boasts great historical value.
The brand has recently been relaunched, offering new collections that draw on its historical heritage. For more details, visit the official Tavannes website or follow the brand on Instagram.
